Established in 1996, The Red Ribbon Project, a non-profit 501 (c) 3 Organization, was initiated in response to the growing need in Eagle Country for HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention, education and support.

Nationwide HIV/AIDS is still an enormous problem. The CDC (Center for Disease Control) estimates that some 1.2 million Americans are infected with HIV and 1 out of 5 of these newly infected is unaware of his or her status.
It is true that the incidence in Eagle County is not very high, but we at The Red Ribbon Project feel it is important for our entire Community to keep it that way.
